Get your discounts here! by Greg2011-10-25 09:01:00

Thought we could have a running thread for discounts!

I liked LEGOLANDFan's first one:

VCB - Save $14 on regular admission - You can't apply any codes to this one, but the 2 day tickets are cheaper than using the Legoland $15 2nd day price.

AAA Members - Can get tickets for $56/50 for a one day ticket! This seems to be the best overall deal, but you have to be a member.

McDonald's Promo - Free admission with code 11090603 - Like the defunct Pepsi promo, the trick is to order 1 adult and 1 child ticket, then apply the code. You can do this multiple times, but separately. (Thanks Sean!)

WB Promo $10 off each ticket with code 1510 - $10 off is good if the other promos don't work.

Dominos Promo $7 off each ticket with code 11100614 - $7 off is better than nothing!

Publix Promo tickets - Save $15 each ticket. Just walk into the store and purchase!

How to get a $15 2nd day ticket by OTPN - I doubt this is good with any promo offer, you probably have to pay the full price to get it.

List of other Discounts

That should get it started. Anyone know of any other codes or promos?

Ok, I've done some breakdowns on the above discounts assuming 1 child and 1 adult going for 2 days (Of course, none of this counts tax or parking):

* VCB price: $142
* Pepsi/McDonald's price: $150
* Legoland 2nd day for $15 Promo: $170
* Publix: $220
* Dominos: $252
* Non-discounted Price: $280

The clear winner is the VCB (although Pepsi/McDonald's is a close 2nd.) It's almost like getting a free day!

I didn't know I had found a site with such interesting discounts! Thanks for doing the math for us! Hopefully they will keep these prices for a long time.

The Spirit magazine coupon is the best deal out of all of them. You get 25% off admission which for an adult ticket is $18.75 off.

I should say best deal if you only want to hit the park for 1 day.

Hi there! My son and I only have one day in Orlando and I really wanted to surprise him with a day at LegoLand. (His FAVORITE things in the world!) Thank god for your site. I just bought us each a one day ticket using the pepsi promotion code and received his ticket for free! A savings of $65!!! I'm sure we'll spend that money somewhere else in the park. Thanks for your effort!!!

Glad to hear you saved a bundle Jack...the park is well-worth the $75.00 price you paid for two tickets. Hope you have a great time and welcome to the forum.

Thank so much for posting this. Coming to Orlando later this month and was floored by the cost. Your information has made our Legoland visit affordable.

I think you miscalculated when you worked out the discounts above. Pepsi is by far the least expensive. It's only $75.00 for each adult & child 1 day ticket. So if you add on the $15 2 day price per ticket once you get to the park the 2 day total should be $105.00 (no tax or parking).

Another question, I just emailed Legoland but they say up to five days to respond and I don't want the Pepsi deal to disappear. In regards to the 2nd day upgrade -

"2-Day Tickets
Stop by Guest Services to upgrade your one-day ticket to a two-day ticket for $15* to visit a second time within 9 days of your first visit. Parking not included. *Pricing not valid for complimentary tickets."

Do you think the Pepsi special would qualify as a "complimentary ticket" since the child ticket is free with the adult ticket? I'm hoping it means the free tickets that Legoland gave up when the park was opening. Have you heard if anyone had a problem trying to upgrade?

Thanks

That's where I'm unclear, but I don't think any promo ticket you use will work with the Legoland $15 second day deal. That why the VCB deal has the $15 worked into it's price already.

According to the park, the offer is not valid with any other discounts, which to my mind, would include the 2nd day special. Please let us know what the park says since there are other people with the same question. Here's a more detailed description of the terms of the promotion:

Specially marked can entitles bearer to a free one-day child’s ticket with the purchase of a full-price, one-day adult ticket. One complimentary ticket per can. When purchasing tickets online, input the discount code at the end of your order entry. Child ages are 3-12. Offer not valid with any other discounts or on special events or birthday party tickets. No photocopies or facsimiles will be accepted. Please check website in advance for park operating hours and times. Offer expires 12/24/11. The terms of this offer are also subject to the terms and conditions at legoland.com.

To answer your questions regarding ticket expiration, as listed below each ticket item in the shopping cart, either through the promotional link or in the main web store, you will see the expiration of 5/31/2012. This expiration date is valid for any tickets purchased online prior to January 1, 2012. Our guest relations staff will work with you to provide a case-by-case solution should this cause a problem with travel plans.

Just went to toys are us & picked up a Lego Catalogue at the register. It's blue background with Lego stuf all over it about 8" x 8" square... if you're trying to spot it.

FREE CHILD TICKET with paid adult ticket to any LEGOLAND Park or LEGOLAND Discovery Center. expires 3/31/2012.

Hmmm... now that I've got my husband & son's ticket covered.... I'm trying to figure out how to get my hands on a Sprit Air / Southwest Airlines mag for the 25% discount on my adult ticket. Looked on their website, but didn't see. If anyone has suggestions on that, please let me know. Otherwise, I'll be stopping off at Publix when we head down to Florida in a couple of weeks. Thanks for that tip~

Cypress Campground & RVP (www.cypresscampground.com) which is 2.5 miles from Legoland, an authorized eticket reseller, provides a 10% discount off of gate prices for those that stay two or more nights.

AAA South has a 2-Day adult ticket for $69.99 and a 2-day child ticket for $62.99 -- so the total for 1 child and 1 adult is $132.98. AAA has a 1-Day adult ticket for 55.99 and a 1-day child ticket for $49.99. AAA also has the 1 year Senior Garden Pass for $56.99.

There is a coupon inside the new Toysrus Lego Christmas catalog. It is blue and says "The Best and Biggest LEGO Toy Selection" on the front. Coupon is on page 38 and is a free child ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket good through 3/31/2012...Good for Legoland FL, CA and several of the Discovery Centers. I found the booklet on the Customer Service desk at TRU.

I think by far I will score the biggest discount for my family... Current teachers in Florida get an Annual Pass for FREE by showing their most recent paycheck stub, valid teaching certificate and ID at the ticket booth. So I will be FREE for a whole year. Combine that with the buy 1 adult ticket, get a child free and my 2-year-old twins are free anyway.... My entire family of 5 will pay just $75 to get everyone in! Woo-hoo... planning the trip dates now!

Considering how bad Florida pays its teachers -- you deserve all the freebies you can get.

Cindy, you may not be aware of this, but you can get into Sea World with a free annual pass, too. It's called the "Study Pass." This is the 13th straight year that SeaWorld Orlando has been giving away free passes to teachers.

Study Pass

(I've got no idea why Disney doesn't do this -- Epcot would seem like a no-brainer for field trips).

Buy one adult ticket, get a FREE child ticket. Use this special link (http://www.legoland.com/mcdonalds) and code 11090603. You can only buy one pair at a time. If you want more than one free child ticket, you'll have to order one adult, one child with the special link and code, finalize that order and then start again. Tickets expire 1 year from date of purchase.*

*Note: we are hearing from readers that while Legoland states on the link above that tickets expire 1 year from date of purchase, the actual expiration date appearing on ordered tickets is 5/31/12. You may have a slight hassle if you plan on using tickets later than 5/31, and you should print or be prepared to show the order form screen with the expiration date that you viewed when ordering tickets.

Is there a catch to the free kid's ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket? Do you have to a Florida resident & show ID at the gate or something?

Are you talking about the Pepsi promo? You have to order both tickets then apply the code and it will take off the kid's ticket.

To answer your question, no...there's no catch. You don't have to be a Florida resident to take advantage of the Pepsi or McDonalds promotion.

Just bought tickets for 2 adults & 2 kids with the McDonald's code - both kid's tickets were free! I saved $130! When I got the "print at home" tickets via e-mail, the expiration date was 12/16/2012. Thanks!

I heard you can get tickets half off if you show up at the park 2 hours prior to park closing. You don't have to worry about paying for parking since the park usually stops charging for parking a couple of hours before park closing. If you take advantage of this twilight discount, you can also upgrade and get a second day for only $15.00.

Thanks for the promo codes, just saved $130 for my family!!
Now I am wondering if anyone has in fact used the McDonald's BOGO tickets, then upgraded to the $15 2nd day tickets. Just curious if the park is allowing it. Thanks!

Thanks! Just used the McDonalds promo and got two free kid tickets with my two paid adult tickets. It will let you do it on the same transaction - but you have to input the promo code, hit apply, then input the promo code again and hit apply again.

Thanks also for the hotel recommendations - we booked for the Best Western across the street from Legoland and the reviews on various websites were good!

Just used the bogo McDonalds promo. Got my etickets, they say expiry 1/29/2013, but in the terms at the bottom, they say, first visit must occur on or prior to the expiration date 5/31/2012. I emailed to ask about that and have not heard back yet. I think it must be a hold over from when they did expire on 5/31/2012?? Makes no sense.

I did email Legoland and ask about upgrading them to 2nd day and they said they could be upgraded for the $15.

I plan to take all my documentation with me, since we are not going until July. The website still says that online purchases expire one year from purchase.

This is a great... just used the Buy one adult ticket, get a FREE child ticket. Use this special link (http://www.legoland.com/mcdonalds) and code 11090603. Which took care of me and my son who will be going down for Spring Break. I'd like to take my nieces who live in Florida with us so I was trying to find the Spirit magazine 25% discount referenced above. Does anyone know what the promo code is for that one?
Thanks in advance

Just answered my own question by searching the internet. It was in the SWA Spirit magazine and it expired on 12/31/11. May need to have my folks check out the Pubix Store to see if the $15.00 off when you prebuy from them is still available.

Mousesavers.com mentions there are Lego mini-kits in stores with coupons on the back for "buy one adult ticket, get a free child ticket". Has anyone seen these recently? If so, where do I look? I thought this would be a slightly better deal than the McDonalds promo, since we can buy the tickets at the gate rather than ahead of our vacation. So if plans should change, someone gets sick, etc. we won't be out the $$.

Thoughts?

Thanks!!

Mindy

I believe you can order them directly from the AAASouth website at: http://autoclubsouth.aaa.com/asp/shoppingcartsearch.asp?SEARCHTYPE=TIS&ItemCategories=01&LocationIDs=52043 As with all things the price has gone up a bit since that last posting. Currently from AAASouth the 2-Day Adult is $74.99 and the 2-day Child is $64.99.

The other option may be to go to an AAA office in Florida and buy them. If you will be in the Disney area there is an AAA Office in Kissimmee, Florida which is just outside Disney.

I wondered, I just bought the adult ticket and got a child ticket for free. So terrific! Then I need to buy a ticket for myself and one for my mother in law. I was wondering if I can buy a ticket for me and get her a ticket for free? The lego website says the childrens tickets are Child (3 - 12)/ Senior 60+

Air Miles in Canada currently has a discount offer, through the end of February at least. Adult + child $80 for one day, single adult $65. I think our Airmiles program is affiliated with "Loyalty One", which may have other loyalty programs eligible for this. Am posting a link, not sure if it will work. (It works for me, obviously, but I am a program member.) https://secure4.gatewayticketing.com/legolandflorida/shop/viewitems.aspx?cg=loyaltyone&c=loyaltyone

This seems to be the best deal for me, though I can also use frequent flyer miles from Air Canada.

I hope that's useful to someone.

From what I can see not all that much out there in the way for LEGOLAND admission discounts currently. COSTCO has a $54.99 one day ticket - the same price for all 3 years old and above. AAA has a second day free ticket for $54.99 child and $64.99 adult.
