Now would be a great time for LegoLand to refurbish the Florida Pool, rename it the Esther Williams Memorial Florida Pool and reopen that part of the gardens. I do believe a few of the movies she was in were shot here in the old Cypress Gardens. Here's the link to the CNN story. | | |

I also saw that she died today. Frankly, I didn't know she was still alive!
Now, now sure how I didn't know this, but I was reminded when watching The Joe Schmo Show 3 that she is Lorenzo Lamas' step-mother. Interesting.

6 Posts | So sad to hear this news - she was a true Hollywood icon...I remember as employees going down to the swimming pool off hours and lounging, removing leaves,etc....She lived a long and very blessed life. R.I.P. Esther.... |
